Akiko Ebi
Japanese pianist Akiko Ebi, started an overwhelming career in 1975 after winning the Grand Prix of the International Marguerite Long Competition in Paris. Five years later Martha Argerich became her mentor when she was a laureate of the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw.
Akiko Ebi studied in Paris with Aldo Ciccolini, Vlado Perlemuter and Louis Kentner. She performs all over the world as a soloist and collaborates in chamber music with such distinguished artists as Martha Argerich, Ivry Gitlis, Regis Pasquier, Rafael Gintoli , Angela Hewitt and Michel Dalberto..
She is professor for piano at the „Geidai“-Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and member of jury at competitions as Marguerite Long, Clara Haskil, José Iturbi, Vianna da Motta, Gina Bachauer, Porto and Montreal. From 2011 to 2016 she was president of the international piano competition Hamamatsu in Japan.
Akiko Ebi is part of the PIANALE Team since 2010.
